The Kewanee Area United Way has launched the Shoes for Kids program, providing new shoes at no cost for students enrolled in local schools for the fall 2024 term. Families eligible must be at or below the 2023 Federal Poverty Level and can apply for up to three children. Applications are available on specified dates at the Elks Lodge on North Tremont Street in Kewanee.
