Kewanee has two unsolved murders. One of those, as yet unsolved murders is Sandra Brown, a case that we brought you earlier this year with the hope of bringing new attention to this soon to be 45 year old unsolved crime. The other unsolved murder in Kewanee dates back to the 1930s. Dave Clark joined WKEI on Wake Up Tri-Counties on Wednesday, July 26th, 2023, to talk about this little known, little remembered unsolved murder. Charles Wooden was working at Pinkies early one morning in 1935 when someone came in and killed him. No one knows why or who might have killed Charles Wooden.
