The 27 year of the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce Concerts in the Park Series in Veteran’s Park, gets underway this week, Thursday, June 22nd. Mark Mikenas with the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce tells WKEI RegionalMediaNews.com “It’s hard to imagine that this will be our 27th year at the park ” said Mark Mikenas Kewanee Chamber of Commerce. “We hope people will come out and enjoy the free concerts, the park has plenty of shade and always seems to have a breeze.” The Jim Markum Swing Band, a familiar favorite in the Concerts in the Park series will open this Summer’s concerts on Thursday June 22nd. Music will once again be sponsored by Petersen Health Care, State Bank of Toulon, Lincoln School Veterinary Clinic and Golnick – Schueneman Funeral Home. Music starts at 6:30 PM food tents will be open before that.
