Though the weather today, Thursday, January 12th, 2023, is not too bad, there is always the potential during the winter months for a severe cold spell. Thus, the City of Kewanee has updated their list of available Warming Centers for when cold weather becomes dangerous. Whether due to a power outage or other circumstance, some can be left without electricity and heat during this time and may need a warm place to go in an emergency. According to the latest guidelines from the City of Kewanee, there are four designated warming centers in town.
Kewanee City Hall (Always Open)
The Henry County Senior Center (During Regular Business Hours)
The Kewanee Public Library (During Regular Business Hours)
and
The Kewanee YMCA (During Regular Business Hours)
