Kewanee Hit by A EF-2 Tornado on March 31st

Kewanee was hit by a Tornado on Friday, March 31, 2023, according to the National Weather Service.  The National Weather Service of the Quad Cities posted on Social Media that a Preliminary EF -2 Tornado touched down South of Page Street extension and ended East of Highway 78, causing extensive damage to the North side of Kewanee.  The Tornado had estimated winds of 118 MPH, traveled 6.7 miles and had a max width of 650 yards .  A look at damage around Kewanee following the storm.
