The Mayor of Kewanee, Gary Moore, was our guest on Wake Up Tri-Counties on Tuesday, November 29th. The Mayor was on hand to wrap up Monday’s Kewanee City Council Meeting. It was a brief meeting where the fate of the long discussed Nelson Avenue was finalized with the City deciding not to move forward with any changes to the little used one way road. The Mayor also discussed three more dilapidated buildings to be torn down across the City of Kewanee and about the presentation by the Kewanee Economic Development Corporation at last night’s meeting. Finally, the Mayor addressed the Boiler Shop property but stated that he does not know the new owner of the property or what that owners plan for the property is.
