Northeast Park and Baker Park suffered extensive damage from the storm Friday night. The Kewanee Park District has closed Baker Park Pleasure Drive until further notice and the 19th Hole Restaurant is closed until power is restored. The 19th Hole Restaurant wasn’t damaged but is unable to open until power is restored. There is extensive tree damage at Northeast and Baker Parks. Part of the roof on the maintenance building at Baker Park was ripped off and a dugout at the big diamond in Northeast Park was destroyed
Ameren crews have been working since Friday night to restore power to the North side of Kewanee but, with the severity of the damage, it will take time to make repairs and restore power.
