The Kewanee Police Department is celebrating National Night Out this year by raffling a Playstation 5 and offering food and fun for everyone. National Night Out in Kewanee is at Northeast Park on August 1, 2023, from 5 to 9 PM. Swimming is free from 6 to 8 PM at the Oasis Aquatic Pool. There is free food, face painting, cotton candy, drone and K9 demonstrations, police and fire vehicles, police training demonstrations and information about area agencies.
Information will be available at tables for the new KPD DAART program, Braveheart Children’s Advocacy Center, the Henry and Stark County Health Departments, Freedom House, the Henry County State’s Attorney’s Office, and the Kewanee Library.
Tickets are $5 a piece or 5 tickets for $20 for a chance to win a Playstation 5 Video game console. Tickets can only be purchased at the event and you do not have to be present to win. All proceeds will go back into our community through The Kewanee Police Department’s Community Policing Initiative.
