The Kewanee Public Library will play host to a celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 16th, 2023. The event is sponsored by Americorp Volunteers and will take place from 10:30 AM to 12 Noon. The event will include activities kids can take home along with books and games related to Martin Luther King Jr. Most importantly, kids will have a chance to learn about the values of Dr. King, Courage, Truth, and Justice. Sara Billiet from the Kewanee Public Library joined Wake Up Tri-Counties on Thursday morning with more on their MLK Day Celebration, the upcoming Arts and Crafts Therapy Night on January 24th, and Sara announced the very first Golden Girls Trivia night dedicated to the popular television series. That event will be celebrated on January 31st in honor of the birthday of Golden Girl star and beloved icon, Betty White.
