The newest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania, arrives in Kewanee this weekend. The film stars Paul Rudd, once again in the role of Scott Lang/Ant-Man, a member of The Avengers but still a reluctant superhero. In this adventure, Scott and his family, including Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), Hope Van Dyne, AKA Wasp (Evangeline Lilly), and Scott’s now grown daughter, Cassie (Kathryn Newton), are sucked into the Quantum Realm where Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) hopes to use their technology to escape his Quantum prison.
The film has received mostly positive reviews with critics on RottenTomatoes.com giving the film 83% positive reviews. Our own Sean Kernan gave the film 3 and a half out 5 stars, stating that the film is a strong launch for Marvel’s newest big bad guy, Kang the Conqueror, who is set to be a major part of the next phase of Marvel films.
