Michael Raymond Accepts Plea for Possession of Meth, Felon with a Firearm is Dismissed

Michael Raymond, 49, of Newman Georgia Plead guilty to Possession of Meth in a Plea Deal on February 10, 2023.  Raymond has been in custody on a $75,000 (10%) bond for 57 days.  County 1 for Possession of a firearm by a Felon was dismissed by the State as part of the plea.  Raymond received 24 Months Probation, 180 days in jail, fines and assessments and credit for time served.  The 180 jail sentence is stayed pending compliance during the 24 months of probation.  Raymond must seek substance evaluation and recommended treatment and agree to random drug testing.  Michael Raymond must pay balance from fines and assessments by March 13, 2023, or appear in court.  Raymond is ordered to report to Court Services upon release from the Henry County Jail.  Raymond has been screened for the Interstate Compact and is allowed to reside in the State of Georgia.  Michael Raymond was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon (Class 3 Felony) and Possession of Meth <5 Grams (Class 3 Felony) from an incident on December 14th.
