Moline Police Announce Drug and Weapons Charges Following Monday Traffic Stop

Jamarlynn Stewart was stopped by Moline Police on Monday night and it turned into a significant marijuana and weapons arrest. According to information provided by the Moline Police Department, Stewart was the subject of a traffic stop just before 11 PM on Tuesday evening in the area of the 1800 Block of of 4th Street in Moline. During the stop, Police located both marijuana and alcohol in the vehicle along with ammunition for a weapon. This led Moline Police to see an order to search Stewart’s residence. There, Police investigators located even more marijuana than the 300 grams found in Stewart’s vehicle. At the home Police located 2.7 pounds of cannabis, a 9mm handgun and an AR15 rifle.  The Rock Island State’s Attorney has charged Stewart with three counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Manufacture/Delivery of 500-2000g of cannabis. He is being held in the Rock Island County jail on $150,000 bond. Stewart had been arrested previously. In 2022 Rock Island County convicted Stewart for Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Manufacture/Delivery of 30-500g cannabis.
