The highly successful action drama, Sound of Freedom, has finally come to Kewanee at the Wanee Cinemas. The film starring Jim Caviezel and Mira Sorvino has earned nearly $200 million dollars at the domestic box office since it debuted in theaters over the July 4th weekend.
“After rescuing a boy from ruthless child traffickers, a federal agent learns the boy’s sister is still captive and decides to embark on a dangerous mission to save her. With time running out, he quits his job and journeys deep into the Colombian jungle, putting his life on the line to free her from a fate worse than death.”
The film has proven divisive with critics giving the film a negative reaction, the film is ‘Rotten’ with a 56% critics score on RottenTomatoes.com. However, the film has been received well by audiences who have given the film a 99% positive score, also on RottenTomatoes.
