Our friend and regular morning show guest, Sara Umphfleet, MPP-D, RD, LDN from OSF Saint Luke Medical Center has been named Illinois Outstanding Dietitian of the Year by the Illinois Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (IAND). In a release to the media announcing Sara’s award, OSF Saint Luke Medical Center stated some facts about Sara’s background: “Sara has been a registered dietitian since 2016 after completing her undergraduate studies and dietetic internship at Iowa State University. While working as a clinical dietitian, she completed her Master of Professional Practice in Dietetics at Iowa State University in 2020. Sara is the Immediate Past President and website design chair for the Illinois Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Sara was awarded the Illinois Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year award in 2019.”
