OSF Saint Luke Medical Center Earns Awards for High Quality Care

OSF Saint Luke Medical Center is touting a brand new Four Star Rating by the National Rural Rating System (NRRS), a program recognizing excellence in rural health care. In an announcement on Thursday, January 4th, OSF Saint Luke Medical Center President Jackie Kernan said of the 4 Star Rating “Our Mission Partners strive each day to provide compassionate high-quality care. This award recognizes their commitment to serving with the greatest care and love.” Kernan continues “The four-star rating reflects the ongoing commitment of OSF Saint Luke to meet the unique health care needs of the rural communities we serve. This recognition highlights the hospital’s success in providing outstanding medical services, despite the challenges often faced by rural health care facilities.” 

Also on Thursday, OSF Saint Luke Medical Center was presented with the 2023 Performance Leadership Award for excellence in Outcomes and Patient Perspective from Chartis Center for Rural Health. Chartis weighs various different pieces of data from rural hospitals and sends out year awards to the hospitals rated the best by patients. “Wherever we go in rural America, we witness first-hand the commitment, determination, and compassion with which rural hospitals serve their communities. Rural healthcare truly is mission-driven,” said Michael Topchik, National Leader, the Chartis Center for Rural Health. “Let us recognize the efforts of this year’s Performance Leadership Award winners and all those driven to deliver high quality care throughout rural communities.”
