Road reopened at 12:40 PM, April 19, 2023
An accident involving a semi tanker has caused a chemical leak from the Semi Tanker at 1600 N and 200 E resulting in a Box Alarm by the Orion Fire Department for Hazmat Cleanup. Western Cemetery Blacktop (200 E) will be closed for cleanup between 1500 N and 1700 N. Henry County Sheriff’s Office and the Illinois State Police are providing traffic control and multiple fire and hazmat agencies have been requested for mutual aid. Henry County OEM has been notified. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office requests people avoid the area.
