Peoria Police are asking for help from the public to find a Peoria man sought for shooting a bouncer in the head at a club early Monday morning.  Tywahnn K. Tillman, 35, was charged with Attempted First Degree Murder (Class X Felony), two counts of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm (Class X Felony) and Felon in Possession of a Weapon (Class 2 Felony) on October 26, 2023, for a shooting that happened at Big Al’s in downtown Peoria around 3 AM on Monday, October 23rd.  A no-bond bench warrant was issued on Thursday for Tillman’s arrest.  The Peoria Police Department said do NOT approach Tillman as he is considered armed and dangerous.

The Peoria Police Department responded to a call for an adult male who was shot at Big Al’s early Monday morning.  Upon arrival at the scene, Offices found the bouncer for the club had been shot in the head.  Surveillance video and witness statements were gathered and the investigation determined that Tillman had an altercation with the bouncer and was kicked out of the club.  Tillman allegedly retrieved a gun from his car and walked back up to the bouncer and shot the bouncer in the back of the head.  The bullet passed through the bouncer and struck a second male victim.  Tillman fled the scene on foot.  The second gunshot victim was transported by private vehicle, with non-life threatening injuries, while Officers were en route.  The bouncer was immediately transported with life-threatening injuries to a local hospital.

A search warrant for a residence in the 1700 block of N. Bourland was executed by the Peoria SWAT team but Tillman was not found.
