In commemoration of 2024 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, the Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office is spearheading initiatives to uplift crime survivors. Through events organized by their Victim Witness division, they aim to enlighten the community about available services such as the Family Justice Center and Child Advocacy Center. A standout feature of the week is the chance to engage with Facility Dog Kiwi, who’s part of their support system. Encouraging a proactive approach, these events will take place at the Peoria County Courthouse, Room 111, with giveaways and treats for public interaction from 1:30 to 2:30 pm on select days.
