A Peoria woman is under arrest for murder following the stabbing death of her ex-boyfriend. 41 year old Lauraine Singleton was arrested at the scene after Police were called to a Peoria Apartment building on Monday regarding a disturbance in an apartment at 715 Morgan Street in Peoria. Upon arriving at the scene, Police found the victim, 50 year old James Davis on the ground and bleeding from a stab wound. An investigation of the scene led to the discovery of the knife used in the stabbing inside Singleton’s apartment. Singleton has been charged with 2 counts of First Degree Murder, she’s currently being held at the Peoria County Jail on a $1 million dollar bond.
