A vehicle struck a power pole and knocked out power to a portion of Geneseo on Monday. According to information provided by the Geneseo Police Department, the accident occurred in the 400 Block of West Main Street just before 1 Pm. There is no word on the condition of the driver in the accident at this time or whether the person in the vehicle involved in the accident will face any kind of charges. The City of Geneseo meanwhile, updated citizens at around 1:30 this afternoon that power had been restored for most of the affected area. The power poles have been repaired and full service was said to have been restored to affected residents by 5 Pm on Monday evening.
