Powerball Jackpot Rises to $700 Million Dollars

Local, Henry County Retailers, are noting an uptick in Lottery sales ahead of Saturday’s Powerball drawing. The Powerball Jackpot has risen to $700 million dollars after the most recent drawing did not result in a winning ticket being sold. Lottery fans are beginning to create long lines at local retailers as they hope to capture the prize which is now the 10th largest prize in Lottery history. Though Wednesday’s Powerball drawing did not lead to the big prize being won, a pair of Illinois Lottery players did pull of big wins. In Collinsville and Aurora, Illinois tickets were sold that resulted in two players winning $50,000 prizes.

The next Powerball drawing is Saturday night, February 4 at 9:59 p.m. CT.
