The IHSA Western Equestrian Series will play host to the Robin Moreland Memorial Ranch Series tonight, Friday November 11th, and again on Friday Deember 9th, 2022. The event will take place in the Ag Arena on the East Campus starting at 5:00 Pm and will feature numerous events that you and your children can take part in, including dummy roping at 5 p.m. and competitive events starting at 5:30 p.m. (ranch rail, ranch riding, ranch reining, barrels and poles). There also will be open arena time (3:30-5 p.m.) and exhibition barrels and poles (after ranch reining).
The series is a fundraiser for the Western Equestrian Team with a portion of the proceeds going to the Robin Moreland Endowed Equine Scholarship. Robin Moreland was the BHC Barn and Horse Herd Manager for a number of years and the event honors her years of dedication to the Equestrian program at Black Hawk College.
