Senator Win Stoller (R-Germantown Hills) is asking residents to help honor a family or friend that served our county for Veterans Day on November 11, 2023. The Illinois State Republican Caucus is hosting their annual Veterans Day Wall of Honor display at the Statehouse from November 7th to 20th in Springfield. The memorial will feature veterans and their stories on a large electronic display along a wall where visitors can write thank you notes to those who served.
“It is truly important that we ensure that the brave men and women who chose to serve and protect our nation receives the rightful recognition they deserve,” said Sen. Stoller. “We live in the greatest nation on earth thanks to their sacrifices and honoring them with this display is the least that we can do.”
Sen. Stoller is encouraging friends and families to submit a photo and short story (fewer than 250 words) about their veterans by November 6th, so the information can be a part of the Veterans Day Wall of Honor display. Entries can be submitted to [email protected] or mailed to Veterans Day Wall, 110D State House, Springfield, IL 62706.
