Shaw Gets Probation and Time Served for Biting Police Officer and Grabbing a Toddler

Aretha Shaw has been in the Henry County Jail since she was arrested on April 21, 2023, for a series of disturbances that included biting a police officer and grabbing a toddler.  Shaw accepted a plea deal that allowed her to be released on October 17, 2023, from jail.  Shaw plead guilty to Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer and Aggravated Battery to a Child and the remaining two charges were dismissed pursuant to the agreement.  Shaw got 30 months probation, 180 days in jail, credit for time served, must seek evaluation and recommended treatment for Mental Health and Controlled Substances, fines and assessment, must not possess or consume controlled substances and no contact with the victims.  Read the original story here.
