Aretha Shaw has been in the Henry County Jail since she was arrested on April 21, 2023, for a series of disturbances that included biting a police officer and grabbing a toddler. Shaw accepted a plea deal that allowed her to be released on October 17, 2023, from jail. Shaw plead guilty to Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer and Aggravated Battery to a Child and the remaining two charges were dismissed pursuant to the agreement.
