State Adds Five More Child Pornography Charges Against Kewanee Man

The Kewanee man charged with five counts of Possession of Child Pornography on August 22nd now as ten counts of Possession of Child Pornography after the State filed an amendment that added five additional counts of Possession of Child Pornography.  Thomas Motley waived a Reading of the Charges and Penalties for the new charges and he waived his Preliminary Hearing and Formal Arraignment.  A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for November 9, 2023, at 2 PM.  Motley is charged with ten (10) counts of Possession of Child Pornography/Victim Under 13 (Class 2 Felony) and Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Class A Misdemeanor).

Thomas J. Motley, 29, was arrested on August 22, 2023, after the Kewanee Police Department, with assistance from the Illinois State Police and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, executed search warrants on Motley’s residence and vehicle.  The investigation began from information received from the NCMEC regarding multiple images of Child Pornography in the possession of a subject residing in Kewanee, Illinois.  The Illinois Attorney General’s Digital Forensics Division processed and seized evidence from Motley’s residence and vehicle.
