Following the passage of a bill that would ban assault style weapons, State Senator Neal Anderson spoke to the media and released a statement indicating that the fight over the bill was not over and that the fight would be headed to court…

“The Democratic Party has made it clear that our Constitutional rights don’t matter and the right to bear arms across our state sits at the hands of their party.

“In less than 48 hours, all of us are going to raise our right hand and pledge an oath to uphold the Constitution of Illinois and the Constitution of the United States. This is a blatant disregard for the United States Constitution. The clear language of the 2nd Amendment, ‘shall not be infringed,’ means nothing to them. We will finish this in court.”
