Marissa Jones, the host of The Vanished Podcast joined Wake Up Tri-Counties on Wednesday to talk about the case of Clint Washburn, a Kewanee High School graduate and former Kewanee resident. In 2003 Clint Washburn allegedly sent his family a letter. That letter indicated that he was cutting ties with the family, getting married to a rich woman, and taking her name. After that, he was never heard from again. In 2018, Clint Washburn’s father died and when his mother, Margi, did not hear from him, she began to look for him. She began a Facebook page and a blog and collected whatever information she could. She approached law enforcement and has shared information. And a new avenue that Margi explored was a podcast dedicated to missing persons cases. The Vanished Podcast is a popular podcast dedicated to highlighting missing persons cases. Margi’s appearance on the podcast is giving new life to her son’s story with the hope that something of his fate may be uncovered.
