The 17th annual Kewanee Lighted Christmas Parade begins at 5 PM on Sunday, December 3, 2023, following the 3rd Annual Wethersfield Student Council Holly Jolly Christmas Festival. The annual lighting of Windmont and Northeast Parks will follow around 5:30 PM. Contact the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce at 309-852-2175, drop off or mail the entry form to 113 E. 2nd Street or email [email protected] by December 1st to sign up for the lighted parade.
The Chamber of Commerce encourages participants to go “all out” decorating a float and make this year a great success. The Chamber of Commerce suggests featuring your place of business, church, organization or school in the 17th Annual Christmas Parade. If you have any questions or need guidance on decorating a float, call the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce at 309-852-2175 for assistance. The parade begins in the former Tenney Bowl parking lot and will drive west on West McClure Street to Windmont Park. Santa will make an appearance in the parade again this year.
