TRIDENT Narcotics Team Seizes More than 300 Pounds of Marijuana in Traffic Stop

The Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team announced on Friday that they had seized more than 300 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 Thursday afternoon. According to the information provided by TRIDENT, the traffic stop occurred just after 1 Pm on Thursday afternoon at Mile Marker 65 on Interstate 80. A vehicle was stopped by Police for Failing to Signal When Required. During the stop, a trained K9 alerted on the vehicle leading to a search. Inside the vehicle, TRIDENT agents located 8 duffle bags filled with 308 pounds of Marijuana. Arrested in the stop was 59 year old Barry M. Taylor of Chicago. Taylor was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver more than 5000 Grams of Marijuana. Taylor is now being held in the Bureau County Jail.
