Two Moline Schools on Lockdown Monday Following Bomb Threat

On February 5th, 2024, Moline High School and neighboring Roosevelt Elementary experienced a shock when a potential explosive device was reported on their premises, according to Moline Police Department. Both schools promptly enacted a soft lockdown. Thankfully, after an intensive search by the police and school staff, no suspicious items were found. An investigation is currently underway by the Moline Police Department Criminal Investigation Division to trace the origin of the bomb threat phone call. As reiterated by Darren J. Gault, the Chief of Police, both hoax and real threats are treated with utmost seriousness to ensure the safety of all.
