Two people are dead and several people were left injured following a two vehicle crash on IL Hwy 89 and C.H. 850 N in Granville Township on Friday. According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at approximately 3:04 PM on Friday, April 14th when a vehicle driven by Branden A Bowers, 48 of Hennepin was traveling East bound on C.H. 850 N and entered onto IL Hwy 89 and collided with a southbound vehicle driven by Latesha M Moore, 26 of Peoria, IL. Moore was transported via helicopter to Peoria, IL. Bowers was pronounced dead at the scene. Sara K Swiskoski, 45 of Mark was a passenger in the Bowers vehicle and was transported via helicopter to OSF St Francis in Peoria. Jabarra S Woodson, 34 of Peoria, IL was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Moore and was transported via helicopter to OSF St Francis in Peoria. Jaylene A Adams, 37 of Galesburg, a passenger in the vehicle driven by Moore was pronounced dead at the scene.
Conditions of the individuals transported via helicopter are unknown at this time.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Illinois State police, Illinois Department of Transportation, Standard Fire Department, McNabb Fire Department, Magnolia Fire Department, PCEMS, Lostant Ambulance, Oglesby Ambulance, Bureau County Sheriff’s Office, Life Flight Helicopter, Life Star Helicopter and Med Force Helicopter.”
