    IMPACTS
    Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Heat impacts will be worsened by several consecutive days of sweltering temperatures. Additionally, there will be little relief overnight with near record warm lows forecast in the mid to upper 70s.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

UTV Accident Injures Four Juveniles in LaSalle

Multiple juveniles in a UTV suffered injuries in an accident in LaSalle on Sunday, July 23rd. According to information provided by the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office, the juveniles were riding on a UTV in the area of 2945 E 6th road in LaSalle when the accident occurred. One of the juvenile passengers was seriously injured in the crash and was taken from the scene by Ambulance before being taken by Helicopter for further aid. That juvenile is now said to have suffered non-life threatening injuries. Other juveniles hurt in the accident suffered only minor cuts and bruises. They were treated and released at the scene. The cause of the accident is still to be determined and police are continuing to investigate.
