The Galva City Council met for the first time since April’s consolidated election. That meant the swearing in of the Mayor and members of the City Council. Mayor Rich Volkert joined WKEI on Wednesday to wrap up the meeting and talk about having been re-elected as Mayor of Kewanee. Mayor Volkert talked about welcoming new members of the staff, honoring former staff who were stepping away, and the Mayor talked about what’s coming up in Galva with the start of the Back Road Music Festival around the corner and The Back Road Music Festival coming in August.
