Galva Mayor Rich Volkert was our guest on Wake Up Tri-Counties on Wednesday. The mayor joined us to talk about finally settling a dispute over parking regulations in Galva. A nine month discussion among Galva citizens and the City of Galva closed on Monday with a compromise that appears to have settled the matter. The Mayor addresses the parking kerfuffle and then goes on to cover other important aspects of Monday’s Galva City Council Meeting. The next Galva City Council Meeting will be earlier next month. Mayor Volkert explained that with Memorial Day falling on Monday, May 26th, the City needed to move the date for next month’s meeting to the previous week.
