Wake Up Tri-Counties Health Department Says COVID-19 Rate at Lowest in Months

RaeAnn Tucker from the Henry and Stark County Health Department joined Wake Up Tri-Counties on Thursday, February 9th, with news that the latest COVID-19 numbers are some of the lowest we’ve seen in months. 22 new cases over the last 7 days, confirmed by tests. No new cases in Stark County at all in the last 7 days. We are more than on track for when COVID-19 Emergency Designations begin to be lifted at the state and federal levels in May of this year. That said, if you are someone who has not been vaccinated or has not gotten a booster it is still very much recommended. COVID-19 isn’t going away and it’s better not to get it if you can avoid it. Vaccination greatly lowers the chance of getting COVID-19 and transmitting it to others.
