This Saturday, May 13th, 2023, the City of Kewanee will host the Kewanee Citywide Cleanup. The event will take place from 7 AM to 11 AM on Saturday at the former Kewanee Hospital site on Elliott Street in Kewanee. Anyone participating in the Kewanee Citywide Clean-Up must be a Kewanee resident and have a proof of residency, an ID and a Utility Bill that shows you reside in Kewanee. All vehicles must be hand unloadable. This means that your items can be moved easily and quickly from your vehicle to the dumpsters on site. No electronic waste, no toxic materials, no wet paint or motor oil will be accepted during the Clean-Up. Construction waste will also not be accepted though some items will be accepted, large amounts of construction waste will be turned away from the Clean-Up area. Volunteers are needed to help move the crowd through the area of the Clean-Up as quickly as possible.
