Last week, June 13th to the 15th, Kewanee FFA students attended the 95th Annual Illinois State FFA Convention in Springfield. The event brings together student FFA organizations from across the state of Illinois and there, teams compete in various speaking competitions while learning more about ag and what it means to be a member of the FFA. Kindra Callahan is the Agriculture Teacher at Kewanee High School and an FFA advisor. She traveled with her incredible group of Kewanee High School FFA participants and cheered along as members competed in individual events, earning individual honors, and the Kewanee High School FFA itself was honored by becoming a National Finalist for the National Chapter Award. We talked with Kindra Callahan about the incredible performance of her students the 95th Annual Illinois FFA Convention on Wake Up Tri-Counties on Tuesday.
