The City of Kewanee has signed a 5 year contract with Lakeshore Recycling Service to provide trash services to the City of Kewanee. In a tie vote broken by the Mayor himself, the contract was approved 3 to 2. Mayor Moore joined Wake Up Tri-Counties on Tuesday, March 12th, to discuss the difficult choice he made in casting the deciding vote in approving the privatization of trash services. The Mayor also took time to address Air B N’ B’s in Kewanee, and newly reformed license fees. And, while the Mayor was with WKEI we announced that the Mayor will deliver his State of the City speech live on WKEI at 7 PM, on Wednesday, March 20th.
