The annual Letter Carrier Food Drive is set for Saturday, May 13th, 2023. That day, if you’d like to donate money to the Kewanee Food Pantry, all you need to do is leave a bag or box of non-perishable food items outside along with your mail that Saturday. Letter carriers and their assistants will be picked up and taken directly to the Kewanee Food Pantry. Lisa Janey from the Kewanee Food Pantry joined Wake Up Tri-Counties on Friday to talk about the Letter Carriers Food Drive and to share a brief thank you and remembrance of Bud Johnson, the late Wanee Cinemas owner who made donating to the Food Pantry a central focus of his charitable efforts during the pandemic.
