Wake Up Tri-Counties OSF Saint Luke Medical Center Holding Flu Shot Clinics at Kewanee Schools

SHARE NOW

It’s that time of the year, time to get a flu shot. OSF Saint Luke Medical Center is committed to making this as easy as possible by going directly to the schools and setting up flu shot clinics for kids. This week, parents will be receiving in the mail, a consent form to let the school know whether or not, their child will be getting a flu shot at the upcoming clinics at each school in the Kewanee School District. We’ve said it before, and we will keep saying it as our guest, Nurse Jesses Sopiars, stated best, the flu shot does not give you the flu. You are not getting sick from the flu shot. That said, the flu shot is fully optional. Parents can choose not to sign the consent form and their child won’t get a flu shot. The flu shot is highly recommended but it is not mandatory.
