    Portions of north central, northwest, and west central Illinois, east central, northeast, and southeast Iowa, and northeast Missouri.

    IMPACTS
    Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Heat impacts will be worsened by several consecutive days of sweltering temperatures. Additionally, there will be little relief overnight with near record warm lows forecast in the mid to upper 70s.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

Wake Up Tri-Counties Russ Hughes Talks Kewanee vs Princeton Basketball

The Kewanee Boilermakers were in action on Monday evening in Princeton. The Boilermakers put up a good fight but came up short in the end with a 61 to 55 loss. Russ Hughes, the voice of Kewanee Basketball, joined Wake Up Tri-Counties on Tuesday to wrap up Monday’s game. In our conversation we talked about the sportsmanship on display from both teams on Monday night, the strong performance of Kashen Ellerbroock who scored a season high 13 points, and the continuing terrific play of Brady Clark who once again led the Boilermakers with 22 points. The Boilermakers dropped to 11 and 6 on the season with the loss. The Kewanee boys basketball team will be back in action on Friday, on the road against Hall.
