The Wethersfield School District will recognize the achievements, courage and dedication of the Veterans from our community with a Veteran’s Day Drive-by parade on Friday, November 11, 2022, from 1:00 to 1:20 PM. Veterans are asked to turn off the 4-lanes at the McClure street traffic light and drive east along McClure Street, turn right onto Willard Street and turn right onto Garfield Street to drive by the football stadium. Veterans can drive the parade route any time between 1:00 to 1:20 PM on November 11.
The Drive-By Parade will include Veteran’s Day Banners made by Wethersfield Elementary Students, Veteran’s Day Gift Bags prepared by Wethersfield Student Council Members will be presented to all Veterans participating in the parade. The Class of 1996 will also present a new plaque to the Wethersfield School District in memory of Wethersfield District #230 Vietnam War Veterans that lost their lives in service.
