Alongside the festive lights, the community is encouraged to participate in a Cookie Drive. Organized to bring extra cheer this holiday, residents can drop off two dozen cookies at the Kewanee YMCA on December 5th, 6th, and 7th. Kewanee is set to host its 18th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade on Sunday, December 8th. The event, starting at 5:00 PM, will begin at the former Tenney Bowl parking lot. The parade, featuring Santa Claus, will proceed along McClure Street and conclude at Windmont Park with a lighting ceremony. Participants are encouraged to create festive floats.
