The University of Illinois Extension is launching a five-part winter conservation series tailored for farmers and landowners. Each session will cover essential topics such as improving soil health, supporting local wildlife, edge-of-field conservation methods, boosting farm profitability, and effective communication strategies. All programs are free to attend, and accommodations are available for those who request them. Interested participants can find more information and register by visiting the Extension’s official website. This initiative aims to provide valuable guidance and practical solutions for sustainable agriculture during the winter months.

“Farmers are looking for ways to balance productivity with stewardship,” said Emily Hansen, University of Illinois Extension commercial agriculture educator. “This series provides research-based solutions that can make conservation work for both the land and the bottom line.”
