The Bureau County Coroner Kurt Workman released the name of the victim in the fatal motorcycle accident on October 2, 2025. Authorities report that 26-year-old Brady E. Lafferty of Depue died following a crash on US Route 6, just east of the Interstate 180 interchange. Authorities in Bureau County report that just before midnight on October 2nd, a 2011 Harley Davidson traveling west left the roadway east of the I-180 overpass, lost control of the motorcycle, and was ejected. The individual was transported but was later pronounced deceased at OSF St. Clare
