Junior Achievement of the Heartland is actively seeking volunteers in Kewanee to help inspire young minds at Central, Irving, and Wethersfield Schools. The programs available include JA Our Region for 4th graders and JA Our Nation for 5th graders, offering unique learning experiences. Katie Weber of Kewanee said on her Facebook, “I just finished my 2nd year as a 1st grade JA volunteer. Everything is provided to you and it goes by so quick. The children love having class visitors and hate when the sessions are over. I got so many hugs this year and the kiddos kept asking if they would ever see me again! I saw 1 student in Walmart afterwards and his eyes lit up as he waved at me!!❤️
