Exciting updates are coming from the Kewanee Public Library District, as its beloved book club is getting a fresh start with a brand-new identity. The group will now be known as The Page-Turners Book Club. Open to devotees and casual readers alike, the club invites everyone to dive into lively discussions and explore new stories together. The next gathering takes place on January 19th with two convenient times: 2 PM and 6 PM. Members will meet in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room, and participants attending at 6 PM are encouraged to use the elevator entrance. This month’s featured book is The Love of My Life by Rosie Walsh.

The local library is launching an ambitious Community Reading Goal for 2026 and inviting everyone—kids, teens, and adults—to join in through Beanstack, an online reading tracker. This initiative extends beyond summer, offering seasonal and themed reading challenges all year long. Participants can earn badges, celebrate milestones, and help the community reach a collective reading target. The library will also feature special programs, events, and tailored book recommendations along the way. Whether you read a little or a lot, every page makes a difference. Challenges kick off in February 2026. Sign up or log in to Beanstack to participate.
