Local runners are joining together again for the annual St. Jude Kewanee to Peoria run to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Julie Wages joined Wake Up Tri-Counties to talk about the St. Jude run and fundraising efforts. The 2024 St. Jude Kewanee to Peoria Run is on July 20th and runners will leave from Kewanee Physical Therapy and Rehab, located at 110 E. 10th Street, around 5 AM. All money raised by the runners, organizers, and fundraisers goes to the kids. Julie Wages thanked local businesses for sponsoring things needed for the run, such as Gatorade and shirts, so that all money raised by the group goes to the kids at St. Judes. There is still time to donate and help the children at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. If you are awake at 5 AM, the runners will be escorted through town from E 10th Street to Peoples National Bank across from Wal-Mart, where they will take a break before heading towards Stark County on Highway 34/78. Come out and cheer them on their long run for an excellent cause.
