In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the Builder’s Club at Visitation Catholic School, under the guidance of Kiwanis Advisor Samantha Rux, is making waves with its charitable initiatives this festive season. Their ongoing Gordon Vickery Memorial Food Drive, which runs until December 19, is collecting canned goods for the Good Fellows Christmas Baskets. Simultaneously, the Kindergarten class is nearing the conclusion of their toy drive, supporting Patchy’s initiative, on December 6th.

Students have collected a significant number of hygiene items and donations for teen bags as part of Patchy’s Toy Drive. This initiative recently got a financial boost from winnings at the Good’s Furniture Halloween Truck or Treat event. Looking ahead, excitement builds for the upcoming trivia night on December 14th, doubling as a fundraiser for the school. The event promises a festive twist with an ugly Christmas sweater contest, and participants can win prizes for the best ugly sweater. The link to register for trivia night is below. Meanwhile, the community is also gearing up for the lighted parade featuring a nativity scene with Visitation Students showcasing local spirit and charity.

In a post on Facebook, Visitation Catholic School said, Building a better community through service to others! Today, our students used their Trunk or Treat prize winnings and generous donations to buy hygiene items for Patchy’s Red White & Blue Christmas Toy Drive. We were able to grab over 300 items for teens in need!”
