Kewanee residents on Railroad Ave and neighboring streets will experience a temporary water shutoff on Friday, December 19th. The Water Division is scheduled to repair a leaking hydrant starting at 7:30 AM, with the process expected to last until around noon. Affected addresses include several homes on Lake, Wilbur, Railroad, and North East Streets. Once water service resumes, a boil order will be in effect for all water intended for consumption until safety testing is complete. Water may still be used for bathing and laundry. Updates on test results and the status of the boil order will be provided as they become available.
